Eleven deals, four of them dead

Everyone in the room knows the pipeline number is wrong, so nobody trusts it, so nobody updates it. The problem is not discipline. It is that the CRM asked for the wrong thing.

The pipeline says eleven live deals.

Four of them died months ago and nobody closed them off. Two are much further along than the record shows. And the biggest one in the company is not in there at all, because it started as a message on somebody's phone and never got typed in.

Everybody in the room knows the number is wrong. So nobody trusts it. So nobody updates it. So it gets wronger, and the Monday meeting runs on what people can remember instead.

The CRM is asking for the wrong thing

Every CRM ever sold has the same shape: a salesperson does the work, and then afterwards, types a description of the work into a form.

That second step is the bug. It is unpaid administrative labour, it happens at the end of a long day, and it competes with the next deal. It loses that competition every time, in every company, which is why the pipeline in every SME is a polite fiction.

The information is not missing. It is in the mail, in the quotes that went out, in the call that happened on Tuesday, in the photographs from the site visit. All of it already exists. It has simply never been asked to add up to anything.

Nobody is failing to update the CRM. They are failing to do a second job nobody should have been given.

How Happen works, roughly

Happen inverts the work. Instead of asking your people to tell the system what happened, it reads what happened and keeps the pipeline current itself.

The difference between correcting and filling in is the entire product. One of them survives a busy week and the other does not.

What the agents may and may not do

Happen has agents, and they are kept on a short lead on purpose. An outreach agent works a defined list on an approved script within a call budget. A research agent builds an account brief out of your own history before anyone dials, with a source against every claim.

They get a scope, a budget and an audit trail, and they stop at the edge of it.

An agent may open a conversation. A person closes a deal. That is not a limitation we are working to remove later — it is the shape of the thing.

What you end up with is a pipeline number the founder can act on, because for the first time it was not typed by somebody hoping to get home.

Happen · drag to turn
Happen drawn with the agents outside the pipeline, on an orbit, their reach going outward. The pipeline itself carries one orange gate. An agent may open a conversation; a person closes a deal.

Happen is one of three modules in VarahiOne, alongside Varahi Workspace for mail and files and VarahiConverse for projects and people. One core, one index, one record of what the company knows.
